Medical Assistant

The business of maintaining one's health is an important one. Doctors, physicians and healthcare professionals need the help of trained personnel to provide care. Medical assistants are responsible for a broad range of tasks, including:

  • Administrative and clinical tasks
  • Maintenance of patients' records
  • Preparation of patients for examinations
  • Execution of basic laboratory tests

In addition, medical assistants may participate in other important duties, but the main goal is to help patients in need of care to feel comfortable with the care you and the physician are ultimately providing.

When you enroll in our Medical Assistant program, you will learn valuable skills, including:

  • Clinical and laboratory procedures
  • Introduction to medical insurance coding and claim processing
  • Anatomy and physiology of the human body

The diploma program also includes real-world training in the form of an externship at a medical facility. Upon your successful completion of this program, you will be qualified for entry-level employment in:
